Crystal Palace forward Sullay Kaikai has resigned for Shrewsbury Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The youngster was very popular among Shrewsbury Town fans, registered five goals in 14 appearances for Micky Mellon’s side, winning the League One fans’ player of the month award for October 2015.
Kaikai, 20, who is eligible to represent Sierra Leone, was recalled by Palace in December after a number of injuries to first-team players left the Eagles thin of options up front.
“I want to score as many goals as I can,” said Kaikai.
“Also, I want to help the team in any way that I can and, collectively, just try and put in performances to help us get points.”
Boss Micky Mellon expressed his satisfaction at securing the services of Kaikai once again with the Shrews desperate for goals.
“We’re delighted to get it over the line and we have got a really talented player in the building. It’s something we’ve worked very hard on and had to be patient with,” Mellon told ShrewsWeb.
Kaikai’s goal against Liverpool in May 2013 earned him a nomination for the League Football Education Goal of the Season award the previous August
Kaikai scored his first professional goal, in the second round of FA Cup replay, in a 1–0 win over Mansfield Town in December 2014
