Former AIK striker Ibrahim Teteh Bangura was overcome with emotion after scoring his first goal of the season on Sunday against Angelholms away from home in the Swedish Superettan to end goal drought.

The former Bursaspor striker equaliser was massive as his struggling side held on to an important away point in their bid to escape relegation.

Bangura, 25, was on target after coming on as substitutes to salvaged a very important away point in the 72nd minutes.

“I’m very happy for this goal because there was a time I thought I couldn’t play football again when I was having constant pain but thank God for this day.

“I can celebrate as I have always used to,” Bangura told footballsierraleone.net

Teteh who is no stranger in Sweden accounted for 15 goals in 17 appearances in the 2011 season with AIK.

But injuries has taken a toll on him in recent months, the Sierra Leone striker had previously played for AIK in Sweden, Bursaspor and Sanlıurfaspor in Turkey and Beitar Jerusalem in Israel.

With four games to go Mjällby will have to battle their way to safety, they face Varberg next Sunday at home.

They lie just above the automatic relegation zone.
