Thistle defender Dumbuya in line for Scottish League debut


Partick Thistle Sierra Leone right-back Mustapha Dumbuya (Pictured in action for Leone Stars) could make his Scottish League debut against Dundee United on Saturday.

Dumbuya, 28, who was so much delighted to have signed for the Scottish side told that he is happy and can concentrate on his football once again, “Very much delighted is all done now I can focus on my football on the pitch.”

“I don’t really know that much about the Scottish Premiership, but it’s an exciting league that I’m going to relish playing in.”

The Maryhill side are presently struggling in the Scottish top flight division and are second from bottom Manager Alan Archibald will turn to the former Notts County man for some defensive stability in front of their home fans.

Dumbuya who can play at right-back or as a winger already displayed his ability and what to expect from him when he played 45 minutes on trials for the Jags’ development team on Tuesday last week.

Thistle head into the Dundee duel second bottom of the Premiership standings after a frustrating run of form in the opening weeks of the campaign.
