Sierra Leone U17 Women’s team will have a chance to gun for a place in the Women FIFA U17 World Cup to be held in Jordan 2016.
They would kick off their campaign when they travel to Gabon for the first leg of the preliminary round on the weekend of November 27, 28 or 29, 2015, before hosting them in Freetown.
While the Women’s U-20 national team will battle it out with their West African counterpart Liberia to reach the 8th Edition slated for Papua New Guinea.
The draws which were conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday afternoon will see Sierra Leone, Gabon, DR Congo, Djibouti, Botswana and Namibia all battling in the U-17 preliminary round.
In the U-20 for a place in the next phase, Sierra Leone, Djibouti, Burkina Faso, DR Congo, Gabon, and Liberia will battle it out.
Aggregate winners from the first round of preliminaries will make the second round of the U-17 and U20 respectively.
Nigeria’s Falcons, who finished as runners-up in the last edition of the World Cup staged in Canada after losing to Germany in the final, will host the first leg between July 10-12, while the second leg will hold until July 24-26.
