The Sierra Leone attacking midfielder and his team rounded off the scoring away from home with two more goals from Abdullayeve and Caue in the 62 and 85 minutes respectively to close the gap on league leaders Qarabag.
Novruzov accounted for the only goal for host Baku. However, Woobay was substituted in the 77 minute for Flavinho.
Elsewhere, another Sierra Leonean, Alfred Sankoh played the whole match and was also on the score sheet for Khazar Lankaran against Sumqayit at the Capital Bank Arena.
The former Sanliurfaspor player was even more impressive scoring the winner for Lankaran in the 65ft minutes after Sumqayit had equalized through M. Qurbanov just before the break.
Fernando Gabriel gave Lankaran the lead away from home. This was Sankoh’s second goal in three matches; he scored from the penalty spot on the 35th minute to help Khazar Lankaran secured a 4-0 home win over FK Baku.
