Sierra Leone international, midfielder Julius Woobay grabbed the only goal in the 19th minutes as Neftci PFK squeezed past the home team AZAL in the Azerbaijan Cup quarterfinal on Friday.
Both sides played to a goalless draw in the first leg of 1/4 round of Azerbaijan Cup.
Woobay, 30, is known for his explosive left-foot, his wonderful free kick was the difference between the two sides in the second leg at the 3,500 AZAL Arena.
The former East End Lions wizard break into elite football in 2001 after making an unexpected appearance with the Sierra Leonean national team at the age of 17.
On 14, February 2001 Woobay made his debut for the Sierra Leone national team in a 2002 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Liberia in a match played in the Liberian capital of Monrovia.
