Former Watford and Honefoss defender Umaru ‘Zaingallay’ Bangura is set to complete his move to second-tier Swiss outfit FC Zurich from Belarusian side Dinamo Minsk tomorrow.

Football Sierra Leone UK understands that the 28-year-old will sign a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The Sierra Leone skipper whose Minsk’s contract runs out in December underwent medical on Wednesday before agreeing on personal terms.

Bangura joined Dinamo in December 2013 from FK Haugesund.

He has just started full training after been ruled out for up to a month after suffering a knee injury.

Meanwhile, FC Zurich was founded in 1896 and has won the Swiss Super League 12 times and the Swiss Cup 9 times.

They won the 2009 Swiss Super League and last won the Swiss Cup in 2016.

They play their home games at the Letzigrund in Zürich at the 25,000 seated stadiums.

Bangura had joined Watford in 2005 but failed to get a work permit and did not feature for the club.

He came close to signed for Crystal Palace in 2013 under boss Ian Holloway.
