John Kamara was delighted with his performance after helping FK Kaisar to a 1-1 draw against K. Almaty away from home on Friday in the Kazakhstan Premier League.

The 28-year-old who was named fan best player for his defensive attributes and all round contribution over 90 minutes says he was happy with a point and team character.

Kamara has been in wonderful form for FK Kaisar since joining the club in January on a one-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of 2017.

“I’m happy with the point especially when the team showed character coming from a goal down. Securing a point away from home is very difficult, he said.

“The whole team played well. I didn’t think to have started this well so quickly for my new club, but I’ve always believed in myself.

“My personal target here in Kazakhstan is to help my team to win trophies and develop as a player.

“Playing every week at the top level is every player’s dream,” the former PAS Lamia 1964 told footballsierraleone.net.

A few months ago Kamara believes he can be the midfield anchorman to drive newly promoted Kazakhstan Premier League outfit to glory this season and beyond.

FK Kaisar had been in fine form before the recent international break, their unbeaten league run extending to four games.

They host Tobol Kostsnay on April 7 in another cracker in the Kazakhstan top flight.
