Excited Sinopspor fans carrying the Sierra Leone international on their shoulders

Former AIK striker Ibrahim Teteh Bangura has joined Turkey Regional Amateur League side Sinopspor in a bid to revitalise his career.

The Turkish fifth-tier side have signed Bangura on a one-year contract on Thursday.

His last contract was terminated by Swedish Superettan side GIAS in 2016.

“I’m not here on vacation, I came to play football,” Teteh Bangura told journalist in Turkey.

The Former AIK striker, who was welcomed with a great excitement from fans added, “I am very happy to be here. I hope you will celebrate the championship at the end of the season.

“I am coming here to play football, I want to play football. I feel like I’m at home, “he was quoted as saying.

Bangura’s best season was during the 2011 season for AIK in Allsvenskan where he scored 15 goals in 17 appearances, before joining Bursaspor in 2011.

The former Beitar Jerusalem striker has previously had spells with Köping, Bursaspor, Şanlıurfaspor, Mjällby AIF and GAIS.
