“He was tremendous,” Scott Caldwell was quoted as saying off Kamara, “(He had) energy on both sides of the ball, creating chances, helping defensively.

“It was a great performance and it really kind of helped the rest of the team’s energy, as well. We fed off it.”

The Sierra Leone striker, who was also on target in last week’s win over LA, scored a flying opener for the Revs in the 38th minute.

He netted his second in the 85th minute when he tapped in an Andrew Farrell cross.

The veteran Major League striker double was his seventh of the season for the revolution in 19 appearances this season.

The Rev’s Agudelo accounted for the third four minutes later when he nodded in Caldwell’s cross to take any remaining air out of the Union’s hopes.

The Revolution will be looking to extend their recent fortunes on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Chicago for their second trip to the Windy City this season.

In their initial encounter, the Fire handed the Revolution a 3-0 loss on Apr. 15.
