Kwame Quee’s goal for UMF Víkingur on Monday was in vain as they lost 4-2 to KR Reykjavíkin in the Icelandic top-flight.

Sierra Leone attacking midfielder admitted he was disappointed despite scoring his third goal of the season.

With the visitors trailing their opponents 2 – 0 at half time, the Sierra Leonean pulled a goal back in the 15th minute after the restart and his team mate G. Hafsteinsson tied the score line 2-2 in the 74th minutes.

However, the home team completed their big win in the 81′ and 85′ A. Bjerregaard and Ó. Hauksson was the last two scorers.

The player, who is on loan from Former FC Johansen accounted for his third Icelandic top-flight goal in his ninth appearance on Monday but they were overpowered.

And, he was left with a bittersweet feeling after helping his side from a two goal down to 2-2.

“It was a bit disappointing, he said.”I was happy to score a goal for the team but was not happy with the results.

“I was really hoping we’re going to at least get a point after coming from a two goal down,” Quee added.

“We played well but with some bad defensive display, we were unable to hold on to a point.”

Víkingur Ólafsvík will face Grindavík in their next top flight game next Wednesday 09 August 2017 at their Ólafsvíkurvöllur stadium.
