Sierra Leone international striker, Mohamed Buya Turay, bagged his fifth goal of the season on Sunday but his side AFC Eskilstuna had to be content with a point in a 1-1 draw away to AIK at the Friend Arena in Solna, Stockholm.

Turay, 22, scored his side opener in the 18th minutes after dribbling past his marker and AIK’s goalkeeper Oscar Linnér before slotting home to silence the home team, but AIK hit back 9 minutes into the restart through Henok Goitom.

“I think we were the better team in the first half. We created three or four good scoring chances before Turay made a fantastic goal, said AFC’s Manager Michael Jolley after the match.

He added, “In the second half, they put a lot of pressure on us, but I’m happy about how we defended.”

The newly promoted Allsvenskan side AFC Eskilstuna still looking for their second win, They’ve only won once this season defeating Kalmar FF 2-1 July 15 at home.

Turay’s side has been struggling all season and they’re still at the bottom of the Allsvenskan standings.

AFC’s next outing at home taking on Malmö FF next Saturday, August 19, 2017.
