Danish NordicBet Liga side Vendsyssel FF, have confirmed the departure of their top striker Christian Moses.

The club citing economic reasons for letting the Sierra Leone striker, who is their top scorer with nine goals in the 1st division departed.

Moses, 24, in January, joined on loan from local club Lion Pride for an undisclosed fee in a deal that is expected to run out December 31, 2017.

However, latest reports have indicated that the Danish first division side can’t afford the player financially.

“The club will not extend with him, and of course I’m sorry for losing my top scorer, but I respect the club’s decision,” said first-team manager Erik Rasmussen.

There are two explanations why we have chosen as we have. The one part is the economy, where we do not see it as an opportunity to extend the rental agreement or to buy Christian free,” Vendsyssel Director Mogens Krogh explained to Nordiyske.

Mogens added: “It is always an assessment as to what you think you can afford.”

Last month Moses told this medium, “My loan deal runs out 31st of December and we will see what happens, but I’m very happy to be at this club.”
