Turkey Regional Amateur League side Sinopspor has confirmed the release of Sierra Leone international striker Ibrahim Teteh Bangura and Brazilian veteran forward Alanzinho.

The pair who were recruited in July 2017 only spent five months with the Turkish Amateur League side and reasons for their release was not made known publicly by the club.

According to report in Turkey, the Sinopspor Board of Directors held a press conference which both the Board of Directors and supporters participated in which the club’s president, Özhan stated that despite their good start in the first period of the league they had a poor run which leads to the decision of several changes in the squad.

He said: “In this period, Alanzinho and Teteh Bangura were center of interest for the fans with their loyalties and youthful structures, even in the away games we do have maybe 200 people waiting for the photos of them to be taken, but we had to separate our ways with these players, and our aim was high when we made these transfers.

“At the same time, the expectations of the people and the Sinopspor had risen, but in our meeting Alanzinho and Teteh We did not have any negativity between us, we put ourselves on the plane, we carried our luggage.”

The former AIK striker joined the Turkish fifth-tier side on a one-year contract and it was his first club since his last contract was terminated by Swedish Superettan side GIAS in 2016.

He scored five goals in as many games for the club including a brace on his debut in their 4-2 victory over Yeni Amasyaspor in the first round of the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
