Major League veteran, Kei Kamara, was on target as his Vancouver Whitecaps side thrashed J1 League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on Tuesday at the University of Hawaii.

“It’s practice but it’s always nice to score goals,” Kamara to footballsierraleone.net

Kamara joined Vancouver Whitecaps from New England Revolution in December 2017 in exchange for a first-round selection in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft .

The Canadian side opened their 2018 preseason campaign with a 4-0 hammering over the Japanese top-flight club with Tim Parker led the way for Vancouver with a first-half brace.

Major League soccer veteran and Sierra Leone’s Kei Kamara also found the back of the net to register his first for the club in the first half, driving low from inside the box.

Bernie Ibini capped off the afternoon with a stoppage-time tally set up by Alphonso Davies and 15-year-old Whitecaps FC Residency player Simon Colyn.

They will take on Iwaki FC at Aloha Stadium (Honolulu) today.

Whitecaps FC kicks off the 2018 MLS regular season on Sunday, March 4 against Montreal Impact at BC Place.
