Sodertalje FK new acquisition Fayia Kobba has admitted that this season must be a step up in his career.
The former FC Kallon and Kamboi Eagles attacker, who signed a year deal with the Swedish Division 2 Norra Svealand side, will be a vital player for Andreas Haddad squad in the new campaign.
“I have to get my approach right because it is important for me. I’m ready to take the next step up in my career,” he passionately told Football Sierra Leone.
“My aim is to take my game to a new level this season and see what happens next.”
Kobba, 21, added, “I can’t wait to get started – is going to be an exciting season with a new team.”
“But, it feels good to be among the group and become part of the SFK squad.”
“Fayia is a very good prospect, who can score goals. He is fast and good with his head, but also can be positive defensively,” A statement on club’s website.
In Sweden, he first played for Örebro U19 and U21 and in 2017; he played for Huddinge IF, where he scored six goals last season.
Former Sierra Leone coach Johnny Mckinstry once named Kobba in his squad against Swaziland in both legs during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in 2014.
The youngster was also in the Sierra Leone U20 side against Guinea and Ghana in the CAF African Youth Championship matches.
