Kei Kamara opened his Vancouver Whitecaps account in their 2-1 victory over the Montreal Impact on Sunday in the opener of the 2018 Major League Soccer goal campaign.
Kamara opened the scoring in the second half 63′ with a running header.
The veteran striker, who was acquired in an offseason trade from New England, Kamara was mobbed by his teammates.
Seventeen-year-old Alphonso Davies, who doesn’t turn 18 until November double the host lead and scored his first MLS career goal in the 70th minutes.
Matteo Mancosu scored in the 81st minute for Montreal.
