Breiðablik’s newly signed attacking midfielder Kwame Quee is gearing up to prove himself in the Icelandic top flight and Europa League next season.
The Sierra Leone international has confirmed signing a two-year deal with the Blikar club.
Quee and his new side will play in next year’s UEFA Europa League qualifiers after Breiðablik ended their 2018 campaign as the second best in Pepsi Deildin league in Iceland.
“I am very excited and can’t wait to start,” Quee told Football Sierra Leone.
Quee added, “Very much ready and looking forward to Breiðablik challenge.
“It’s a massive opportunity for me. I’m delighted as this is a good step up for me.”
The Sierra Leone international, 22, has spent the last two season trading with Víkingur Ólafsvík in Iceland where he has registered 17 goals since joining on loan in 2016.
The former FC Johansen midfielder over the years has developed into a great prospect having played over 12 international caps for Sierra Leone.
He was recently part of the Leone Stars African Nations Cup 2019 qualification campaign and played in 1-0 defeat to Ethiopia in September 2018.
The 2016 national FA winner has been one of the outstanding and consistent players since winning his first International cap with Sierra Leone.
Quee was also part of the FC Johansen side eliminated by Moroccan side FUS Rabat in this season’s CAF Champions League 4-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round in 2017.
He has had spells with Doutcher United, where he started his career, Sierra Rangers, Papa jack FC before joining FC Johansen in 2009.
