Sierra Leone attacker Mohamed Buya Turay could leave St Truiden on loan, maybe this January, according to Voetbalnieuws.be.

The club’s most expensive player bought from Swedish side Dalkurd in the region of 1.7 million Euros, has been struggling for game time.

Turay has not been able to sustain a run of form for STVV since his first goal against Lokeren in August and has only played six times in all competition.

“It will be important for him to get back playing minutes, here or elsewhere, we’re going to take a look at that, a loan, maybe, yes.”

“Buya started well with a goal that brought us a point, after which he had a difficult period,” The club’s technical director Tom Van den Abbeele explained.

“He is a guy who has a lot of qualities, otherwise you are not a top shooter in Sweden, but it is also the first time that there is so much pressure on him.”

“The most expensive purchase in the history of STVV at times, you notice that this is not easy to deal with and that is currently the hardest for him.”

Before his move, the 23-year-old scored nine goals in 13 appearances for former club Dalkurd.
