Former Olimpija Ljubljana attacking midfielder Julius Gibrilla Wobay is set to lead East End Lions as club’s captain ahead of the Sierra Leone Premier League kick-off this Sunday.

Kick-off 1800 hours GMT at the Siaka Steven Stadium.

The East End giant club will go toe to toe against Mighty Blackpool, the only Sierra Leone club to have reached the quarter-final of CAF continental competition.

Wobay, 34, who last month retired from international football, will continue his trade with his boyhood club.

“As you already know, I was the club’s captain before leaving in 2003. I’m not a new player at the club,” the experience attacking midfielder noted.

On the international level, Wobay was one of the longest-serving players in the history of the Sierra Leone national team having played for the Leone Stars for 17 years.

Meanwhile, at a grand ceremony with top East End Lions dignitaries, the club unveiled it 2019 jersey live over AYV Sierra Leone TV today.
