Sierra Leone-born Abdul Sama Mannah looks set for a new deal in Egypt after commencing talks on extending his stay at Aluminum SC.

The former Sohag Sporting club player confirmed negotiation has commenced with Aluminum, who ended their season as the sixth best Egyptian second-tier sides from group A.

Mannah, 25, was named Man of the Match in Aluminum’s 2-1 away victory over Tatha SC in their last league match.

After 18 league and four FA Cup appearances, Mannah was disappointed his side not being able to gain promotion.

“We were all frustrated for not making the promotion playoffs and yes my contract talks have started,” he told FSL medium.

“I do not want to go into many details. However, every player always looks forward to the new contract. Hopefully, here in Egypt or elsewhere in the next coming weeks.”

“This is my fifth season in Egypt. I’m sure everything will take care of itself soon. You can never put a time limit on these things,” the former Medeama SC attacking midfielder said.

He added, “My focus is playing football as I have enjoyed my time in Egypt since 2013.”
