There is no question that today’s contest between East End Tigers and East End Lions is the match of the day as soccer fans gearing up for a cracker. Kickoff 18:30 GMT at the Siaka Steven Stadium.
Lions remain the only unbeaten team this season. However, today is another acid test for one of Sierra Leone’s most decorated side.
The Killers’ won the first leg 1-0 when they host their counterpart in the Sierra Leone top-flight back in March.
Recent back to back defeats to Anti-Drugs and Bo Rangers have seen today’s host dropped to ninth while Lions recently send out a warning to rivals with a 5-1 hammering of Anti-Drugs before playing 1-1 against Ports.
However, many believe it’s the Tigers’ turn to have a go. They’re currently ninth on the table they know nothing else but a win will keep them above mid-table.
“We are determined for this match. We are going into this tie knowing Lions are still the unbeaten League leaders,” EE Tigers fan, who wants to remain undisclosed told FSL News.
He passionately added, “At this moment, they are playing well but we not afraid to take them on. We are ready and know it will be a very demanding game.”
Elsewhere, Bo Rangers under the leadership of caretaker coach John Dominic Konneh will be hoping to continue their recent undefeated form.
The Southern Province club will entertain the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces at their Bo stadium. A game the home fans will be craving for victory.
