Sierra Leone international striker, Sheka Fofanah, fired a brace as Al-Minna came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Al-Zawra on Tuesday.
Goals from Abdul-Raheem and A Abbas put Al-Zawra in charge in the 33rd, 36th minutes respectively.
However, Fofanah’s first competitive goals for the club were enough to rescue a point. The former Al Nasr player, who joined the Iraqi top-flight last month already proving himself.
The former Al-Merrikh and Frýdek-Místek man scored either side of the half to ensure his side maintain their 100% start after four opening league games.
His first goal came in the 34th minutes to cancel out Al-Zwara’s Abdul Raheem 33-minute opener.
Fofanah scored Al Minaa’s equaliser in the 89th minute after a strong run into the box to slot home pass Al-Zwara’s keeper.
The point leaves Al-Minaa’s top of the Iraqi Premier League after four games.
