FC Kallon head coach Amidu Karim says his team has been working endlessly on strategies as they prepare to contain the champions East End Lions in Sunday’s Challenge Cup.
Karim side suffered two defeat against EE Lions during the 2018/2019 season conceded three goals.
As a result, the East End giant side won the title under the supervision of technician John Keister with a four-point margin.
Sunday’s tie at the Siaka Steven Stadium will be their biggest test ahead of the new Sierra Leone Premier League 2019/2020 campaign.
“Last season we suffered two defeats against East End Lions which led to us losing the title to them. However, this time is going to be different,” Coach Karim told FSL News.
“We want to give a good account of ourselves on Sunday. East End Lions are a good side, and that is why our approach is going to be different.”
“Pre-season has been good, the entire technical team, including the players, are in high spirit. Last season we have showcased what we are capable of.”
“They’re our strongest arch-rivals and the last season table can attest to that. Notwithstanding, I and the entire technical team working towards the title but first this Sunday’s tie is our focus.”
Former East End Tigers striker Baimba Sesay, who scored 13 goals last season is a potential coach Karim new weapon.
Lions guided by Manchester-born Keister remain undefeated as they take on the Cavaliers hoping to continue with their fine run.
