Victoria Conteh’s side snatched a dramatic draw with a late Musa Nyaguah’s equaliser in the 92nd minutes against last season’s runner-up FC Kallon at the Siaka Steven Stadium on Saturday.

The visitors had taken the lead through Sallieu Tarawallie 65th minute goal from the penalty spot, but after two technical changes by the only female top-flight coach in Sierra Leone, the host was able to snatch a last-gasp 1-1 scoreline.

Victoria ahead of her first match has been relishing the challenge and proved she was up for the task.

“Have been in charge for only a few days, but I know we can be better in games to come as a team,” she added during her post-match interview.

“We all delighted after a hard-fought draw. I want to reiterate that Victoria Conteh (D’Cox) despite a woman, can produce the expected goods we believe in her,” Victor Lewis club’s chairman.

“Her changes were magical. She brought in Abu Musa Nguawa, who scored the goal for Maurice Kamara and Abdulai Kargbo who made the assist for our goal came in for Momoh Yillah,” Lewis explained.

“This is football, and we have to accept the result. We did all our best to win maximum points, but it never works for us. We are going to keep ourselves together, work harder,” Headcoach FC Kallon Amidu Karim noted said at the post-match conference.

Nevertheless, a point from a breathless match keeps Tigers firmly in the top five after their opening two matches while Kallon sixth on two points.

Meanwhile, FC Kallon will host Ports Authority FC in their next league fixture. EE Tigers go away to face Anti Drugs at the Approved School grounds on Sunday 28th December.
