Striker Victor Osimhen has given Nigeria an injury scare ahead of next month’s 2021 AFCON doubleheader against Sierra Leone.
The Nigerian international was subbed off in the 80th in Lille’s 2-0 win over Angers due to muscle injury on Friday.
Boss Christophe Galtier confirmed that Osimhen suffered a muscle injury and the results will reveal the extent of the injury.
The forward has been an instrumental player for Nigeria’s Super Eagles. He has scored in both 2021 Afcon qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
