Sierra Leone striker Mohamed Buya Turay, who departed Swedish champions Djurgården after loan spell expires, has appealed to the club to resign him.

Turay scored 15 goals in 29 matches Buya won the title and the 2019 golden boot during his loan spell at the club.

It was Turay’s goal that completed a superb comeback from two goals down as Djurgarden won the Allsvenskan league title after a 2-2 draw away to Norrkoping on a dramatic final day of the 2019 Swedish season.

“I just got information that there is money at the bank, please come and take me,” Buya posted on his official Instagram page.

He added, “Djurgården, there is money at the bank, come and get me now let’s fix this. And, we qualify for the Champions League.”

This winter Djurgården replaced Buya Turay in the squad, with Kalle Holmberg from IFK Norrköping.

Since leaving the Swedish Champions Turay has not played a single game for his parent club in Saint-Truidense Belgium where he made six appearances with a goal to his name before his Djurgården loan spell in January 2019.
