Leone Stars Team manager Christian Dauda has hailed the Ministry of Sports (MOS), and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) for what he described as a remarkable decision after the 100% appointment of national coaches.

The soft-spoken manager, who was first appointed before Leone Stars qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Cup Nations in Cameroon, revealed he was elated after the announcement.

Speaking briefly to FSL News UK, Dauda said, “As the TM of the Sierra Leone A-Team, I would like to send a special appreciation message to both the Ministry and the SLFA.

“The SLFA alongside the Ministry of Sports have done a remarkable job in unveiling a full list of national coaches in various categories.”

“I am delighted to be offered the job. It is an honour to serve my country in this capacity. Soon after the announcement, I called the Leone Stars head coach, John Keister, to congratulate him.”

Philanthropist Dauda added, “We have a lot of work to develop sports, most especially football.”

Over the years, he has been working passionately to promote the welfare of others. Especially with his generous donations.

“I want to wish all appointees, the very best of luck in their new role. Sierra Leoneans will join me in congratulating all named Managers, coaches, and backroom staff. I wish all every success in their new role.”

In 2018, he was joined by the Sports Minister Ibrahim Nyelenkeh and former Director of Sports for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) conference at the Vienna International Centre, Vienna, Austria.

The Drugs & Crime conference was on challenges associated with the organization of sports events, Public Procurement and Sports Events, how it can be addressed, and detection of corruption, among others.

The SLFA’s media advisory on Monday was attended by the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority, Dr Kenneth Brima, and other sports dignitaries at the Atlantic Hall, Siaka Steven Stadium.
