Goals from Mohsen in the opening five minute, Hussein el Shahat 26th and Yasser Ibrahim 59th respectively were enough as they proved too strong for their Moroccan counterparts having won the first leg of the semifinal 2-0 last weekend.

Wydad grabbed a consolation goal through Zouhair El Moutaraji nine minutes from the end.

The Egyptians advanced to this year’s final following a 5-1 overall.

Al Ahly’s South African boss, Pitso Mosimane, is not new to this stage of the competition. He won it with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016.

His side will now face either Morocco’s Raja Casablanca or Cairo rivals Zamalek in next month’s final which will take place in Egypt.
