• Defender Osman Kakay trained alongside his Queens Park Rangers team-mates on Thursday following a month out injured.
  • Kakay, 23, has not featured since the home defeat against Reading on 12 December.
The Sierra Leone international, who was in an excellent form, will now have to work his way back into the side after a month out.

Meanwhile, Charlie Austin was on the score-sheet on his first appearance since rejoining the Hoops as they beat Luton for their first win in 10 Championship games.

The striker re-signed on loan from West Brom on Saturday and was in the right place to nod in at the back post after team-mate Geoff Cameron had flicked on a corner.

The win means they moved up to 18th in the English Championship standings.

In another development, Saturday’s Championship fixture between QPR and Wycombe Wanderers has been postponed after the visitors reported positive Covid-19 tests.

Wycombe  have informed the English Football League it would be unable to fulfil the fixture following the latest tests.
