Sierra Leone came from a goal down to draw 1-1 against their Liberian counterpart in an under-15 men’s friendly encounter on Saturday.

Liberia took the lead in the opener of the Mano River Union, MRU tournament at the Bo City Stadium through Leekpilay Holder.

Holder gave the visitors the lead, midway in the first half against the run of play before Salieu Bah level the scoreline just before the break.

The home side could have won the match when goalie Emmanuel Monger, who replaced Mitchell Laval at halftime, was beaten only for Michell to make clearance for a round of applause from the spectators.

The tournament for peacebuilding will continue on Monday, with Sierra Queens locking horns with Liberia female senior team at the same venue.
