LA Galaxy have confirmed the signing of Sierra Leone attacker Augustine Williams from LA Galaxy II.
Williams, 23, who was part of the Sierra Leone national set-up against Nigeria, has been presented with a new adventure in the Major League.
He was named the 2020 LA Galaxy II Player of the Year after leading Los Dos with 13 goals during the 2020 USL Championship campaign.
“The forward, who joined on a one-year contract with two option years, holds a USA passport and will not occupy an International Roster spot on the LA Galaxy roster,” the club announced on Friday.
“Augustine is a productive and talented forward who has shown his quality with LA Galaxy II,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese.
“He is a player that we have seen excel at the USL Championship level and we believe will continue to develop on the field. He will provide good depth to our attack, and we are pleased to add him to our roster.”
