Sierra Leone U15 side recorded the worst defeat in the country history by going down 7-0 to their Malian counterpart in the ongoing West African Football Union, WAFU competition at Lansana Conté de Nongo (Conakry) General Stadium.
In the fewest possible words, it was a decimation for the young U15 side from Sierra Leone, who were making their debut in this competition.
The defeat stands tall as the worst from a Sierra Leonean male side in over two decades. In the 2007 Nations Cup qualifiers, Leone Stars suffered a 6-0 thrashing to the senior Malian side.
In the early kickoff, Guinea beat Liberia 5-3, with Mamadou Bah first hat-trick of the maiden tournament.
