- Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht manager Vincent Kompany has handed Sierra Leone winger Mustapha Bundu a chance to revive his career.
- Bundu has been named in Kompany’s first matchday squad as Anderlecth set to open their Jupiler season against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday at Lotto Park stadium.
Bundu, 24, featured in nine games without a goal before he was loan out to the Danish side in January 2021 with an option to buy permanently, but Copengahgen opted out of a permanent deal.
The Sierra Leone international returned to the Belgian club after fourteen games scored a goal.
A new chance to impress the technical team for a good run of games for Bundu, who was in the Serra Leone side that defeated Benin in June in Guinea.
On 7 August 2020, Bundu joined Kompany side with the transfer fee believed to be between DKK 25–30 million on a four-year deal – making him the most expensive sale in the history of AGF.
