Sierra Leone Premier League leaders Bo Rangers have appointed Chilean Jose Solomon Cortes as their new head coach following local tactician John Dominic Konneh departure.
The 49-year-old has joined a list of foreign coaches who have been in charge of a Sierra Leonean club after the swiss Robert Muller, who was at Mighty Blackpool over 30-years ago.
Cortes, who will be working with former Kamboi Eagles coach Alhaji Foray, Kabineh Kamara and Guinean goalkeeping coach Allan Sekou Kamara, has said he is delighted and can’t wait to start.
His first task is at home against East End Tigers when the ongoing season kick starts on the 11th of August 2021.
“I am 49-year-old, and I have been coaching in Sweden and Guinea. I am delighted to be here in Bo and cannot wait to start,” the Rangers new boss told FSL News.
He confirmed having previous working relationships with Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Chelsea as a scouting agent.
The experienced technician has coached Vasalunds IF in Sweden and neighbouring Guinea over the last four years.
Rangers executive has been persistently on development with the recent construction of the clubhouse.
