Sierra Leone national side dominated by homebased players played to a barren draw Ethiopia on August 26 at the Bahir Dar International Stadium in their first friendly since beating Benin to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
However, their away result did not reflect on their recent Fifa rankings announced on Thursday, September 16th.
Following the latest Fifa International calendar, the Leone Stars have slipped to 108th from their previous 106th in August rankings.
In Africa, impressive Senegal leading the continental pecking order has been ranked among the World top twenty nations.
Senegal ranked 20th, Tunisia in 25th, while Algeria are 30th and Morocco in 33rd position.
Meanwhile, the top ten countries in the world are Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Denmark.
