Sierra Leone native Mohamed Sankoh has expressed his delight after extending his VfB Stuttgart until 2026.

Sankoh, 18, initially joined the German top tier side from Stoke City on a five-year deal in August 2020.

Following his contract extension, he told the club’s website that he was pleased and feeling at home.

“I feel very much at home at VfB Stuttgart, so I’m very happy about the contract extension. I got the chance to develop as a young player and make my debut in the Bundesliga.

After my injury, the people in charge at VfB, the coaching team, the medical department and my teammates gave me great support. I am very grateful for that. I work hard in rehab, and I will give everything to come back stronger.”

“We are all convinced that after completing the rehabilitation measures, he will achieve his original level of performance and that he will have a long and hopefully successful career ahead of him,” Sports director Sven Mislintat on Sankoh.
