The technical department of the Algeria Football Federation has named their final list for next month’s African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Head coach Djamel Belmadi named key players like Sofiane FeghouliIslam SlimaniRiyad Mahrez, West Ham Saïd Benrahma and others in his 28-man squad. 

The Desert Foxes will compete in Group E against the Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea. They will open their defence against Sierra Leone on January 11th at the Japoma Stadium.

It will be their 19th AFCON appearance – they won the trophy beating Senegal 1-0 in 2019.

They scored 19 goals in the qualifiers, more than any other team. Baghdad Bounedjah, who was the scorer of the 2019 AFCON final winner, was listed. He was their top scorer with four goals.

Midfielders: Ismael Bennacer (AC Milan, Italy), Ramiz Zerrouki (FC Twente, Netherlands), Adem Zorgane (Charleroi, Belgium), Haris Belkebla (Brest, France), Sofiane Feghouli (Galatasaray, Turkey), Sofiane Bendebka (Al Fateh, Saudi Arabia).
