Sierra Leone in-form midfielder Abdul Sesay pictured hits double-figures for OPS
In-form Sierra Leone midfielder Abdul ‘Buduski’ Sesay has now hit double-figures for his Finnish club OPS after scoring twice in his side 3-1 win over YPA FC on Sunday.
The 24-year-old was also named Man of the Match in today’s KaKKonen clash away from home.
Sunday’s result stretched their undefeated run to five games, leaving them top of the division standings.
Buduski scored his first professional hat-trick against the same club on May 14, 2016.
His brace has taken the Leone Stars midfielder tally to 10 in 12 appearances in this campaign for his club.
Sesay, who a few days ago told Football Sierra Leone UK that he wants to extend his goal scoring exploits is delighted with his double.
He said: “Ten goals in twelve matches, I’m happy most especially for the team and I’m happy with my recent form.
“My target is to keep scoring goals and hopefully, we got promoted – I’m working hard who knows where that will take me next season.”
The Finish-based midfielder produced yet another magical performance for his Oulun Palloseura (OPS) side, his first was in the 59th minutes before sealing his side victory in the 81′ minutes.
He is expected to be part of the Sierra Leone side to face Ivory Coast in their quest t reach the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final in Gabon.
Buduski scored his goal for Sierra Leone against Chad in the 2018 World Cup preliminary match played in Nigeria at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium (Port Harcourt) in October 2015.
He was an unused substitute in the 1-0 victory over Sudan June 4, 2016, at the National Stadium in Freetown.
