Mohamed Sankoh on target in Heracles Eredivisie debut

Sierra Leone native Mohamed Sankoh scored a brilliant debut goal in Heracle’s 3-1 win over Excelsior in their Eredivisie tie on Saturday.

Last season, the 19-year-old played 22 matches while on loan at Vitesse and looks set to continue another loan outing in Holland.

The Sierra Leonean-Dutch striker recorded his first of the season in the 85th minute, assisted by Keersmaecker.

He scored two goals and bagged two assists in the Eredivisie last year. To date, he’s made two appearances in the German top flight.

“It is very important for Mo to play regularly,” Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth noted in a club statement confirming Sankoh’s loan deal. “With Heracles Almelo he has this option in a league he already knows from last season. We wish Mo and Heracles Almelo a successful season.”
